Professor Dr Markus Langenfurth on the bachelor’s course International Business Administration
“I know international business from my own experience. I think that all businesses of all sizes and sectors must align themselves internationally in order to remain competitive. Our International Business Administration course imparts the necessary know-how for this. The students learn business administration and management in terms of internationally active companies and markets. What I really envy the students for is the mandatory term abroad.“
The course imparts a comprehensive know-how in business administration and management as well as specific skills in special areas of application in international business administration. A term spent abroad is a mandatory component of the curriculum. In addition, two international project studies are planned, which you will complete in internationally operating companies.
International business administration – help to shape the markets!
Markets are changing all the time. Enterprises of all sizes and sectors have to adjust to the changes of globalisation in order to remain competitive. So that you can contribute to solving these problems and to shaping the international markets, the International Business Administration Bachelor’s Course at the Business School Potsdam imparts the theoretical and practical tools to you.
In the framework of the course you will acquire a well-founded expertise in business administration and management, which is always orientated towards the specifics of internationally active enterprises and markets. In addition to a comprehensive impartation of methods, the course focuses on the formation of foreign language and intercultural skills, in order to prepare the graduates for collaboration with colleagues, customers and suppliers of other nationalities.
The Course’s Foundation in Reality
The International Business Administration course was developed from practical requirements and therefore imparts to you a well-founded scientific education as well as a high degree of application-orientation.
In the framework of the “Study Project Module” you will apply your skills in concrete projects for real clients. Moreover, in two firmly integrated project study modules you will obtain basic and deeper insights into selected occupational fields. You will complete one of these two modules in a foreign country.
The practical aspect will also be incorporated into the teaching through excursions, simulations, case studies and role play, in the context of which you will analyse practice-relevant situations and be able to try out and work out options for action in business.
In addition to the permanently employed professors at the BSP Business School Potsdam, selected lecturers from real life contribute to the teaching and they will enliven your studies through exciting insights into professional life.
